In his letter to the Christian communities, St. James emphatically states that "faith without works is dead". In Chapter 2:14-17 St. James writes:
"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it?
So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead".
The ministry of Jesus Christ - while He was here on earth, was a ministry built upon a LIVING faith in the Father, demonstrated through unconditional LOVE, PRAYER, and WORKS OF MERCY - all in the name of God the Father. So too, the St. Joseph's Church
Missionaries of Mercy is a ministry devoted to the path of Jesus Christ - our Lord and Savior. Our ministry - like our Church and its Pastor - is grounded in unconditional LOVE, PRAYER, and WORKS OF MERCY; undertaken in the name of God the Father, through Jesus Christ, His Son, our Lord.
"I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” - John 13:34-35
